Atianna J. Cordova is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and the founder of WATER BLOCK™ and WATER BLOCK Kids™. Atianna is recognized as LSU School of Architecture’s first McNair Research Scholar, a 2016 UC Berkeley Undergraduate Prize for Architectural Design Excellence Travel Fellow, a 2017 Salzburg Global Fellow, the co-winner of Propeller’s 2018 Water Challenge Pitch Competition, a 2019 Ideas City Fellow, a 2019 4pt0 Schools Fellow, C40’s 2019 Women4Climate cohort member, the grand-prize winner of the Junior League of New Orleans’ 2020 Pitch Competition, a 2021 Grist 50 Fixer, and a 2022 Smithsonian Environmental Leadership Lecturer for her commitment to advancing racial and environmental justice through design.
